Anna Beth has been making caramel cakes this season to sell and we have enjoyed tasting the caramel each time she makes one. She also made the ladies in the Stevens family earrings. She is very crafty and enjoys sewing, crocheting, knitting, cooking and creating.

Wednesday night at our house. We had a fabulous chicken tortilla soup made by Anna Beth.
Yummy! Also, we enjoyed Mom's coconut cake. Then Cathy and I dominated at Trivial pursuit on the Wii.
These are one of my favorite parts of the Christmas food. Cathy's famous Christmas cookies. She quite stumbled upon the recipe a few years ago when she accidently added baking powder and baking soda to the mix and the result was undeniably the most delicous cookies ever!!!! I limit myself to 50 per day.

We certainly got lost numerous times in the sprawling Opryland hotel. Once, Cathy and I took the stairs and ended up deep in the bowels of the hotel in the basement. We were quite frightened and were wondering aimlessly looking bewildered when an employee pointed us in the right direction. Here are Cathy and Mom during one of our lost escapades. Who even knows where we were, but sometimes it would take us 30 minutes to find our room :)
The flowers were beautiful at the hotel.
At Laura's before Thanksgiving Christmas party. Oh, there was a contest for the tackiest Christmas jewelry and I , um, won... sad. But it was a lot of fun.

This is right before the Louise Mandrell show. It was called "The Gift" and it was surprisingly good.
We stopped at the world famous Loveless Cafe.
We have been celebrating this wonderful time of year for many weeks now! I guess the first official engagement of the year was Laura's before Thanksgiving Christmas party. Fun night of dressing in our Christmas pajamas and playing games and lots and lots of eating and laughter.
We then had a great time of food, fun and fellowship with the Parks at their annual soiree.
Then last weekend, Mom, Cathy , Anna and I headed to Nashville to the Opryland Hotel. We had such a good time relaxing, visiting and enjoyed seeing the Christmas decorations at the hotel.
On Sunday, we had a great night of fun and fellowship with friends from Florida at the Chamblees. We were so glad to see the Thompsons and rejoice with the Brocks that God brought them back to Tupelo.
On Tuesday, we had Christmas with my family. We had our lunch at a gun club near our house and then went to Moms to open gifts and have our party. We all miss Daddy very much and it was special as we all thought about him and shared memories about him.
Wednesday, Hule and Loretta, Jerry and Rosella,Cathy and Mom came to our house for a visit. We enjoyed being outside (it was about 70 degrees) and had fun later on a long walk and eating together and playing trivial pursuit.
Tonight, we went with Mom to Brad and Angies for the Stevens Christmas. It was great to see family and it was especially encouraging to talk of Christ with some of my dear family members.
Tomorrow we look forward to spending the day with Mom and Nana and sharing communion at Mom's church.

Ben also requested spicy rice and he looooves hash brown casserole :)
Ben had a very healthy birthday dinner :) He chose fried okra, hushpuppies, fried chicken and hash brown casserole. I decided to make a salad to try to at least counterbalance the grease a little! Mom, Nana and Erin came down for the evening and we had a good time visiting with them. Ben also wanted chocolate mint ice cream, whipped cream and cherries for dessert.
